My trip to Baghdad exceeded all expectations. The National Museum of Iraq is absolutely breathtaking, and the hospitality of the Iraqi people is unmatched. The Al-Mustansiriya University is a testament to the city's rich academic history. I felt completely safe throughout my visit, and the local guides were incredibly knowledgeable. The food was amazing - especially the masgouf by the Tigris River. I can't wait to return and explore more of this fascinating country.

Visiting the Imam Ali Shrine was a deeply moving spiritual experience. The golden dome is magnificent, and the atmosphere inside is incredibly peaceful. The pilgrimage services are well-organized, and there are volunteers everywhere to help visitors. The Wadi-us-Salaam cemetery is also worth visiting for its historical significance. The city has excellent facilities for pilgrims, and I found accommodation easily even during peak season.

Saj Al-Reef Restaurant serves the most authentic masgouf I've ever tasted! Located by the Tigris River, the atmosphere is perfect for a traditional Iraqi dining experience. The fish is grilled to perfection, and the rice and salads are fresh. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Prices are very reasonable for the quality. This is a must-visit for anyone wanting to experience real Iraqi cuisine. The sunset view over the river while dining is unforgettable.

Stayed at Babylon Rotana for 5 nights and was impressed with the service quality. The rooms are spacious and clean, with modern amenities. The breakfast buffet offers both international and local options. The staff speaks excellent English and was very helpful with tour arrangements. The hotel's location is convenient for visiting major attractions. The pool area is well-maintained. Only minor issue was occasional WiFi connectivity problems, but overall highly recommended for business or leisure travelers.

The Arbaeen pilgrimage from Najaf to Karbala was the most incredible experience of my life. The hospitality along the route is beyond description - free food, water, medical care, and accommodation everywhere. I met people from all over the world, and despite language barriers, we were united in our purpose. The final arrival at Imam Hussein's shrine was emotionally overwhelming. This is truly the world's greatest display of human compassion and unity.

The Erbil Citadel is absolutely fascinating - 6000 years of continuous habitation is mind-blowing! The UNESCO World Heritage site is well-preserved and offers incredible views of the city. The guided tours are informative and available in multiple languages. The museum inside provides excellent historical context. The restoration work is impressive while maintaining authenticity. Allow at least 2-3 hours to fully explore. The sunset views from the citadel are spectacular.

Al-Rasheed Hotel has significant historical importance and character, but shows its age. The rooms are spacious but could use renovation. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the location is convenient for government district visits. The breakfast is decent with local options. The hotel's history and architecture are interesting, but modern amenities are limited. Good value for money if you're looking for a historic experience rather than luxury. The lobby area has fascinating historical displays.

Modern café in Najaf with excellent coffee and a relaxing atmosphere. They serve both traditional Iraqi tea and international coffee varieties. The desserts are delicious, especially the kunafa. Free WiFi and comfortable seating make it perfect for meetings or studying. The staff is friendly and the service is quick. Prices are reasonable for the quality. It's a nice break from the traditional tea houses and offers a more contemporary café experience.
